Aaron Stander, author of the popular Ray Elkins murder mystery novels,
set in northern Michigan, will give a presentation to readers and
writers. He will entertain questions from the audience about any aspect
of the writing/publishing process and will be happy to sign books for
purchasers. His latest title is Gales of November, the ninth book in the series.
Thursday, August 3, 7 p.m. Gregory Nobles will give a presentation on his new work of nonfiction, John James Audubon: The Making of the American Woodsman,
published by University of Pennsylvania Press. Please join us for a
fascinating look at the 19th-century American worlds of art and science
and Audubon's determination to be successful in both worlds.

The dog parade will be held on
Saturday, 12th. This year's theme is "Hairy Tales." Following the
conclusion of the parade, an agility competition will take place in
Northport's fabulous street fair, Leelanau UnCaged, will unfold this fall on Saturday, September 30, with live music, arts and crafts booths, fair food, and more.
